SUMMARY:Deconstructing Bordeaux Varieties
DESCRIPTION:French red blends are irresistible. Classic red Bordeaux cuvées are blended primarily from some (or all!) of five main varietals; Cabernet Sauvignon\, Merlot\, Cabernet Franc\, Malbec\, and Petit Verdot. In fact\, in the Bordeaux region they believe the whole is greater than the parts as single-varietal wines are uncommon in Bordeaux. \nTo get a better understanding of how these grapes work as a team\, we’ll taste single-varietal Bordeaux-native grapes from outstanding non-Bordeaux regions across the world to learn what they bring to the blend.
