SUMMARY:Battle of the Grapes: Value vs. Splurge
DESCRIPTION:Think you can taste a wine’s price? More importantly\, do you know which one do you actually prefer? Join us for an interactive blind tasting where we strip away the labels and let the wine in the glass do the talking. \nGet ready to experience three head-to-head pairings (six wines total)\, matching value wines ($10-$15) against “splurge-worthy” wines(+$50) of the same variety/style. Your mission isn’t to guess the correct price or pick the most expensive wine to prove you’re a pro. Instead\, this event is to help you discover what you actually like when the price tag isn’t there to influence you. \nDo you prefer a luxury bottle or does a value gem win you over every time? There are no wrong answers\, this is your chance to gain an understanding of your own personal taste. \nAttendees will receive 10% off event wine orders (15% off for members). \nLight cheese and charcuterie will be provided to enhance the experience.

SUMMARY:An Evening with Caprio Cellars
DESCRIPTION:Explore one of Walla Walla’s best kept under the radar wineries- Caprio Cellars.  We love the high quality and high value wines they produce and can’t wait to share them with you.  You’ll enjoy five wines which highlight their commitment to great fruit\, respectful winemaking\, and a sense of place. \nJoin us in welcoming Robbi Ebel\, Director of Sales for Caprio Cellars who will guide you through this experience sharing the stories and tidbits that make these wines special. \nWhat is Caprio Cellars? \n\nA small\, family-owned winery\, Caprio Cellars began its journey in 2010 with the release of its debut wines\, establishing a tradition of exceptional hospitality\, innovation\, and respect for the land. Today\, they proudly steward four estate vineyards—Eleanor\, Octave\, Sanitella\, and Seven Hills. \nInspired by his Italian grandmothers\, Sanitella and Eleanor\, founder Dennis Murphy opened the Caprio Cellars hospitality center in 2019. Designed to feel like home\, it offers a welcoming space where guests can savor curated wine flights paired with seasonal small plates\, each crafted to highlight the character of our wines. \nAt Caprio Cellars\, they let the fruit take center stage. With the careful use of moderate French oak\, their wines achieve a harmonious balance of depth and authenticity\, always honoring their origins. \n\nWho is Robbi Ebel? \nRobbi is the Director of Sales for Caprio Cellars\, a small family-owned winery in Walla Walla\, producing estate Bordeaux wines.  She was a founding member of the Blue Mountain Cider company formed in 2001 where she learned about starting a cidery/winery from the ground up. She then spent 2 years with the Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance running events and marketing.  In 2007 she joined the Waters Winery team as their Sales Director.  Waters Winery worked closely with Gramercy Cellars\, so it was a natural progression to move to Gramercy fully from 2013-2022.  After a leave of absence to care for family\, she joined the Caprio Cellars team in July of 2022.  She was happy to return to working in the Southside of Walla Walla again\, adjacent to vineyards and with a beautiful view of the Blue Mountains.  Robbi’s non work passions include teaching indoor cycling at the same studio her daughter teaches at and spending time with her family\, friends and all of the animals on her mini farm. \nThis event WILL sell out\, so secure your spot ASAP!

SUMMARY:An Evening with Fidélitas Winery
DESCRIPTION:Experience the quality and value of a winery that’s been producing delicious Washington state wines from the iconic Red Mountain AVA for over 25 years- Fidélitas. \nJoin us in welcoming Greg Giere\, National Sales Manager for Fidélitas. \nWhat is Fidélitas winery? \n\nFidélitas is nestled in the heart of Washington’s most distinctive terroir\, Red Mountain. What began in a family kitchen in 1982 has grown into a generational pursuit—to honor the land they call home and craft world-class wines. \nThe winery is run by father-son winemaking team Charlie and Will Hoppes\, and founded in 2000 by Charlie after having spent the previous decade at Chateau Ste. Michelle. During his tenure\, he opened their Canoe Ridge facility\, crafted the first few vintages of Col Solare in partnership with Tuscany’s Antinori family\, and made Ste. Michelle’s first red in Wine Spectator’s Top 100: 1995 Indian Wells Merlot\, which solidified his standing as a lifelong advocate and defining voice for Washington Merlot. Charlie just finished his 38th vintage and his son\, Will\, who grew up working in the cellar is back at Fidélitas continuing his dad’s legacy.\nThe wines are made from 100% Red Mountain AVA fruit\, sourced from Fidélitas Estate and other select vineyard partners. They exclusively produce Bordeaux varietals\, released as single-vineyard\, single-varietal bottlings and Bordeaux-style blends\, with a focus on small-lot\, terroir-driven winemaking. \n\nWho is Greg Giere? Greg is the Seattle-based National Sales Manager for Fidélitas\, a boutique winery producing bold\, vineyard-driven wines from Washington’s Red Mountain AVA. His love for wine began in 2005 while working in fine dining\, where great food\, hospitality\, and exposure to exceptional wines sparked a lasting connection to the craft. He transitioned into the wine industry in 2012\, gaining experience in local distribution and at respected wineries including Washington’s Cadence and Napa Valley’s Sinegal Estate. Greg brings a thoughtful\, relationship-driven approach to growing Fidélitas nationwide and holds a Level III Award in Wines from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust\, a Level II Certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers\, and an Enology Certificate and Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University. When not traveling in support of Fidélitas\, he enjoys time with his wife and their two bulldogs\, Paisley and Penny. \nThis event WILL sell out\, so secure your spot ASAP!

SUMMARY:Experience Napa Valley's Best Kept Secret- Laird Family Estate
DESCRIPTION:Join us in welcoming Justin Ward from Laird Family Estate for a guided tasting on Tuesday\, November 4th at House of Wine.   \nWhat is Laird Family Estate?  As the largest landholder and vineyard owner in Napa Valley\, the Laird Family grows many of Napa’s iconic wines in their vineyards.  In fact\, 98% of the grapes they grow are sold to outside wineries.  Better yet\, they keep the top 2% for their own label\, Laird Family Estate.  The best winemakers will tell you that great wine is made in the vineyard and the Laird Family has been instrumental in growing the valley’s wines since the 1970’s.   We find their wines consistently overdeliver on quality and value which is rare in Napa Valley.  Great wines\, great prices\, and great people. \nWho is Justin Ward? As Laird Family’s National Sales Manager\, Justin Ward\, has spent 17 years representing the family’s wines and telling the story of this humble\, hardworking family.  Knowledgeable and incredibly friendly with a passion for presenting wines from Napa Valley’s best kept secret winery\, Justin adds depth and context to this fabulous line-up of wines.  This is an event that you don’t want to miss!   \nWhat are the details?  Justin will guide us through a tasting of five wines from distinct sub-regions throughout Napa Valley sharing the facts and most importantly\, the stories\, behind this authentic\, family-owned winery.  From refreshing whites to full-bodied reds (and yes\, a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon IS in the mix) you’ll taste the diversity of Laird one sip at a time.  This is the perfect opportunity to stock up on wines from this undercover winery for the holidays.  Light cheese and charcuterie will be served to enhance your experience. \nFeatured wines are offered at a 10% discount for attendees (15% for wine club members!).
