DESCRIPTION:French red blends are irresistible. Classic red Bordeaux cuvées are blended primarily from some (or all!) of five main varietals; Cabernet Sauvignon\, Merlot\, Cabernet Franc\, Malbec\, and Petit Verdot. In fact\, in the Bordeaux region they believe the whole is greater than the parts as single-varietal wines are uncommon in Bordeaux. \nTo get a better understanding of how these grapes work as a team\, we’ll taste single-varietal Bordeaux-native grapes from outstanding non-Bordeaux regions across the world to learn what they bring to the blend. This course is a fantastic overview of the world of international wines and is suitable for wine enthusiasts and industry professionals. \n\nWSET Level 2 Award in Wines \nWho should take the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines Course?\n\nYou are a wine enthusiast with a beginner to intermediate level of wine knowledge who wishes to gain in-depth knowledge of wines and wants to obtain an internationally recognized wine qualification\nYou are employed in the drinks and hospitality industries and have some prior knowledge of wines in general and international wines in particular\n\n\n WSET Level 2 Award in Wines Prerequisites\nStudents must be at least 21 years of age upon course enrollment. \nLevel 1 Award in Wines is not required to take this course.
