COURSE SYNOPSIS
While a relative newcomer in the global wine scene, the Northwestern area of the United States has become a key winemaking region. From the arid hills of Eastern Washington and Idaho to the green valleys of Western Oregon we’ll discover the many distinct varieties and styles of wine made in our own backyard. From succulent Syrah’s and bold Cabernets to more delicate Pinot Noirs and a variety of whites and rosés, our ‘homeland’ has it all. While it’s unfair to have favorites in such an extensive wine producing country, this happens to be one of ours and we hope it will become yours, too.
