WHO IS WALLA WALLA VINTNERS?
Founded over 30 years ago in the acclaimed Walla Walla Valley, Walla Walla Vintners is a classic, yet innovative winery crafting approachable wines that excel in price for quality. Family-owned and operated since day one, Walla Walla Vintners sources grapes from four different Washington appellations including their two sustainable certified estate vineyards. Known for their bold reds such as Cabernet and Syrah along with more nuanced varieties such as Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc, these are wines that keep you wanting more.
WHO IS CHRIS BERNING?
With more than two decades of experience in the wine industry, Chris is passionate about sharing both Walla Walla Vintners’ wines and the unique story of the Walla Walla Valley with wine enthusiasts across the country.
An Advanced Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers and a Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and industry expertise to his role. Throughout his career, he has traveled extensively to many of the world’s premier wine regions, including those in Europe, South America, Australia, and New Zealand, further deepening his appreciation for wine and viticulture.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time outdoors, often found wading a river with a fly rod in hand pursuing his passion for fly fishing. When the weather turns cold, he can usually be found snowboarding throughout the mountains of the Western United States or planning his next adventure to a warmer destination.
A certified chef as well, Chris still enjoys cooking at home and sharing great food, wine, and hospitality with family and friends.
