Celebrate South Africa

This February marks 365 years that South Africa has been crafting wine! Since the mid 17th century this country has created wines from both traditional and unique grape varieties.   In addition, South African wine is one of contradictions.  On one hand, many of the wines are influenced by the savory, mineral-led styles of the “Old World” traditional grape growing regions.  On the other hand, an abundance of fruit is apparent akin to “New World” styling.  Join Neil Grant, owner of Vinspire imports and a native to South Africa, as he leads us through five distinct South African wines.  From fruity to spicy, light to full, you’ll see the spectrum of wines created in this beautiful country. Light cheese and charcuterie will be provided.
