COURSE SYNOPSIS
The region of Burgundy stretches from the northern subregion of Chablis, famous for it’s mouthwatering Chardonnay, to Beaujolais, the Gamay grape’s heartland. Known for the diversity of subregions, Burgundian producers place more emphasis on the differences in vineyard specificity than perhaps any other region. In this course we’ll take a birds-eye view of Burgundy and pair it with in-depth knowledge of the varieties, sub-regions and major producers that continue to shape this region. Plus, we’ll eat like the royalty of yesteryear who prized this region’s stunning white and red wines.
